Digital Arts – Creativity Beyond Limits
There are many ways to tell a story visually. The most beautiful, impressive, consistent and plausible way for the audience is often one where visual effects (VFX) have been used intelligently.
Skillfully placed and created, visual effects can captivate viewers, arouse emotions, reveal complex relationships, unveil the mysterious, resurrect the past, visualize visions or simply create a special look. Both the demand for visual effects and the possibilities of using it in motion pictures have continued to grow, increasingly blurring the boundaries between live action and computer animation, as VFX and CGI (computer-generated imagery) also progress into documentary films and TV movies.

We can do anything! But when, how, and at what price?
»We’ll fix it in the post (production)« – this old strategy has long become obsolete. The »VFX workflow« today starts as early as the writing of the screenplay, the »VFX Supervisor« plans, calculates and monitors the process up until the desired result.

The extra-occupational further education program »Digital Arts« offers an exciting and solid series of workshops providing insights, outlines and prospects into the status quo and the promising trends of digital image design.
The goal of the further education program is to provide participants with a foundation in the creation, organization, calculation and implementation of visual effects in film and television productions.
