Deniz Aykol was born and raised in Turkey and graduated from the Department of Biological Sciences at Middle East Technical University. Although she has always been passionate about science, literature and art, the science journals she read as a child encouraged her to study natural science in university. Her love for writing began in childhood and grew over the years, leading her to participate in various creative writing workshops and courses. After graduating, she worked as a content creator and copywriter. Now, she is eager to explore immersive technologies and other creative tools and to broaden her horizons through new perspectives within a creative team. She is excited to join the Digital Narratives MA programme to learn more about the power of storytelling.
