Trygve Allister Diesen is a writer/director known for taking on thriller, crime and human drama projects focusing on visceral, cinematic storytelling and emotional yet grounded performances.
Trygve recently released S03 of hit series »Wisting« for Scandinavian streamer Viaplay. He served as head writer/showrunner and also directed all eighteen episodes, spanning three seasons. Sven Nordin and Carrie-Anne Moss co-star in the series that has travelled extensively, including runs on Sundance Now, BBC and ARD.
Trygve studied at University of Southern California, and sold his first script two weeks out of film school. His second feature »Hold My Heart« was Norway’s submission to the Oscars. His third film and English-language debut »Red« (2008) premiered at Sundance, starring Brian Cox. He’s directed more than 100 episodes of TV, mostly in Scandinavia, and is currently in pre-production for his first UK show, »Irvine Welsh’s Crime«.
