Vita
YVAN KLÜNDER was born in eastern Germany in 2003 and grew up in Velbert-Mitte. Even as a child, he made short films with his family and developed a deep connection to cinema. His formative years in filmmaking began in Wuppertal, where he completed his training as a media designer at the Berufskolleg am Haspel and was actively involved in the Wuppertal media project. There, he made several short films that dealt intensively with urban youth issues and made the city of Wuppertal itself a narrative element. He gained practical experience at the production company Markensicht Köln, where he mainly worked on advertising videos and specialised in editing. In addition, he was involved in music videos, short films, and advertising campaigns, provided support as a camera and directing assistant, and gained his first experience as an actor in small commercials. He was also involved in the Medienzentrum Essen as part of the Kulturrucksack NRW, where he worked with children and young people, teaching them camera technology and directing, and assisting in the production of interviews and reports. Studying at the ifs since 2025.
