ifs-film of the week: Bosteri Under The Wheel

On the occasion of its 20th anniversary, the ifs presents a #ifsfilmderwoche online every Tuesday.

»Bosteri Under The Wheel« (2014), ifs film from the 5th semester, is the 23rd film in the series. The documentary by Levin Hübner (director), Lino Rettinger (producer), Fabian Klein (DoP) and Jascha Viehl (editing & sound design) won the 2nd prize at the Konstanz-based kurz.film.spielen and has been shown at the Berlinale and numerous international documentary film festivals.

»Bosteri unterm Rad« takes place in the middle of the Kyrgyz steppe: Between wild horses and one of the world’s largest mountain lakes stands a Ferris wheel that rotates only two months a year. An encounter with people left behind by the summer.
