The ifs film »Ein bisschen Paris« (D/A: B. Musullu; P: M. Kimmel, C. Albrodt; C: K. Tauber; S/SD: A. Klein) celebrates its festival premiere at the International Hofer Filmtage (24.-29.10.). In the short feature film from the 4th semester Bernd waits in his rickety Volvo for a group of passengers to bring to Paris. Little by little the shy Julian, the grumpy Zlatko, the chaotic Marie arrive – and… who else? Only one thing is clear: there will be one more.
The thriller »Rewind – Die zweite Chance« by ifs-director graduate Johannes F. Sievert, which combines a murder case with a time travel motif, has its world premiere in Hof. When investigating a death, an implanted chip is discovered, which allows conclusions to be drawn that the victim comes from a different time. When the widowed Commissioner Lenders encounters further victims, he becomes more and more interested in using the chip himself – to prevent the murders and to influence his own past. »Rewind« is a production by the Cologne-based Pandora Filmproduktion in co-production with Rommel Film and broadcasted by WDR and Arte. »Rewind« was supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW. Other ifs alumni were also involved in the film: Patricia Testor (editing), Cora Pratz (art direction) and Matthias Backmann (VFX).
The short film »Wölfe« by ifs graduates Markus Wulf (director) and Su-Jin Song (creative producer) will also be shown. The film about two siblings who have to survive alone in the forest was made in cooperation with ifs – with the participation of other ifs alumni and students.
