Roland Zag studied musicology, theatre studies and philosophy in Munich from 1977. Since 1986, he has worked on 50 documentaries, essays and reports for cinema and television. Between 1993 and 2007 he was managing director of MEDIAS RES Film- und Fernsehproduktion GmbH. He developed the screenplay theory "the human factor" and published "The Audience Contract". And "Dimensions of cinematic storytelling".
