I was born on 29 July 1971 as the third child in Wuppertal.
When I was three years old, my mother moved to Cologne with my two older brothers and me, where I have lived ever since.
After graduating from high school in 1993, I did my first three-month internship at the camera rental company Pille, followed by other "learning jobs" such as production driver, lighting assistant, lighting stage jumper, then three years as camera stage assistant.
Since April 1998 I have been working as a 1st camera stage assistant.
I have worked on a total of about 120 film productions, of which about 80 were feature films. It's hard to name a top credit, especially because every project is different, challenging, special or exciting.
For example, I have been able to travel to 23 countries with the film business.
