Vita

Alexander Daus, born in 1985 in Zelinograd (Kazakhstan), immigrated to Germany at the age of 4 and grew up in Paderborn.

After graduating from high school in 2004, he found his way to film through his first theater internships and short films, in which he acted as director, writer and producer. In 2006 he moved to Berlin. There he completed two internships in television films and supported various short films as a set recording manager, concept artist, screenwriter and script doctor.  In 2008 he began his studies in screenwriting at the ifs internationale filmschule köln, where he graduated with a B.A. in screenwriting in 2012.

He is currently a freelance writer and dramaturge. As a lecturer at the ifs köln, he has been giving regular seminars at the BA Screenwriting and MA Serial Storytelling since 2012, co-conceived and supervised workshops such as the Summerschool Screenwriting and the Summerschool Junior. In co-operation with the Filmwerkstatt Münster he designs the Screenwriting Class. A long-term program for the development of a full-length feature film. Additionally he taught at MACROMEDIA and TH KÖLN (Cologne Game Lab).
