MAR BENDOCCHI ALVES, originally from Brazil, completed the Master’s in Serial Storytelling at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln and specialises in writing serialised content, in German, English, and Portuguese. Mar has developed TV proposals/scripts for German production companies like Schiwago Film, Bavaria Fiction, UFA Fiction, G5 Fiction, U5 Filmproduktion. Mar gained experience as a staff writer on the long-running German daily soap »Berlin – Tag & Nacht«, and have worked as a junior producer for G5 fiction (ZDF Enterprises), assisting multi award-winning Producer Uwe Kersken. Mar’s screenplays have received recognition in several screenwriting competitions, e.g. Austin Film Festival, ScreenCraft Scifi & Fantasy Screenplay Contest, The Golden Script Competition, Table Read My Screenplay. Before focusing on screenwriting, Mar wrote and directed a socio-critical theater play named »Shitty Shitty Plem Plem«, which was performed at the Pasinger Fabrik in Munich and is now being distributed by Zuckerhut Theaterverlag. Mar moreover worked in the film industry as Sound Editor in films such as »Wir waren Könige« (Best Narrative Feature - Austin Film Festival 2014, MFG Star - Baden Baden TV Film Festival 2014) and »Der Bunker« (Best Picture - Fantastic Fest 2015, Best Film - Palmares Mauvais Genre Festival 2015).
