Each of us sees life through our own eyes. We are drawn to subjects with which we feel personally connected. Each person interprets images in their own individual way, sees things others don't see, feels what others don't feel. My love for film is based on being able to share this personal view, one's own observations, one's own joy and pain, one's own stories, and on being able to share and inspire each other in the different, creative trades to bring a narrative to life. My work as a cinematographer makes me more aware of my surroundings and makes me more sensitive to the issues of our time and those of other people. I am very grateful for that.
