MOTAZ MATAR is an award-winning Arab film and TV director and screenwriter holding an MFA degree in Cinematic Arts. He taught film production and design at university level and earned recognition from broadcasters and festivals in the Middle East and abroad. In 2012, Motaz won the Golden Award at the PromaxBDA, and in 2017 his fi rst feature film »Slingshot« was selected by the Mediterranean Film Festival in Cannes and the Calcutta International Film Festival. Motaz’ vision is to use his passion for storytelling to share meaningful human experiences.
