Moving images are pretty talented liars. They often don't reflect reality, but the imagination of their producers, and yet we as viewers want to believe them. For me as a storyteller, it doesn't matter whether I'm in my living room at home, in a dark movie theater, or on the road on my cell phone - there's no medium that allows me to tell my stories as directly as moving and sounding images. I believe that the different formats are on an equal footing and touch their audience in their own unique way. Personally, I am moved by emotional stories about characters drawn as complete human beings who are given the space to just be: loud and joyful, but also quiet and thoughtful. Always hoping to give my audience a "lie" they can believe and be touched by, you'll find me where atmosphere meets action-oriented storytelling.
