MARCEL-JANA URBAN was born in 1996, first short films and event recordings were realized during school. After graduating from high school, she moved to Cologne and trained as a media designer for sound and image at Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), while also working on other projects of her own, such as festival recordings and travel reports. After successfully completing her training, she worked for two years in the postproduction department of WDR, where she edited and partly shot magazine features, news, image videos and reports. During her work at WDR, she was an active volunteer in the employee network queer@wdr. Studying at the ifs since 2021.
