JULIA MARIA MATHEUS, born 1994 in Münster, lived in various small towns, always tinkered and drew. After graduation worked in a garden center. Started a design study at the FH Bielefeld, learned a lot, but dropped out, it didn't feel right. Studied English, Literature and Ethics at the University of Bielefeld, tried a "safe" way. Sold frozen yogurt. Found theater and short film through fellow students, acted, built and shot. Painted and collaged more, and learned less English linguistics, still fascinated by it. Took the plunge to intern with set design in film. Studying at the ifs since 2019.
