Born in 1992 in Lviv, Ukraine. In 2003 he emigrated to Germany with his mother. He currently lives in Hamm. Sergej Waldrat started studying screenwriting at ifs in Cologne in 2012 and successfully graduated in 2016. In the same year he started studying directing at the FH Dortmund. After that, he staged various scenic short films as a director, which he wrote himself. He currently works as an independent director and screenwriter. 2023 graduation MA Film at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln.
