Niva Ehrlich

Born in 1990 in Frankfurt am Main. After graduating from high school, she worked in a children’s home and associated NGO in Ghana. Till today connected with people and place. Back again: the German theatre atmosphere. Costume and stage design assistance in Mainz and Berlin. Regional studies Asia/Africa in Berlin and Copenhagen, with a scholarship from the Heinrich Böll Foundation. Alongside: Internship at Verlag der Autoren, annual cooperation at the FernsehfilmFestival Baden-Baden, travelling, various experiences in the directing department of TV film productions. 2015/2016 studies at the European Film College in Denmark – with focus on directing, acting, editing and film history. Back in Berlin directing class at the self-administered film school filmArche. First experiences as freelance filmmaker.
Studies directing at the ifs internationale filmschule köln since 2017.
