Friedrich Schäper, born in 1988 in Bielefeld, studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Design Münster from 2010-2015 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on illustration and animation. After graduating, he traveled Europe for a year and worked in various animation studios in Manchester and Ireland, including 6 months at Cartoon Saloon. After his return in autumn 2016, he founded the 2D animation studio Huckepack in Cologne together with Till Machmer, which specializes in special visual worlds and frame-by-frame animation. In addition to 2D animation, Friedrich's expertise lies primarily in visual development and backgrounds.
He has been teaching nude drawing, sketchbook and character design at the ifs since 2019.
