A new focus: Documentaries as a hit genre for streaming and TV
Whether on streaming platforms, TV or YouTube, the documentary genre is more in demand than ever. At the same time, the boundaries between documentary films, docudramas, documentary series and factual entertainment are blurring, giving rise to new trends and programming needs – high-quality content with a strong focus on the needs of the target audience and the logic of the platforms.
This is where the Non-Fiction Masterclass comes in: led by Prof. Jennifer Mival and renowned mentors and lecturers from the industry, this part-time professional development programme provides an understanding of the relevance and innovative potential of the documentary genre, as well as the changing programming needs in streaming and TV.
The Non-Fiction Masterclass offers comprehensive industry knowledge and professional support in developing participants’ documentary ideas into projects tailored to specific platforms and target audiences. The aim is to develop concepts with a view to potential exploitation on streaming platforms and TV, and to successfully pitch them to streaming services, TV broadcasters or production companies.
Since the MAsterclass Non-Fiction is a German-language programme, please find all further information on the German-language page.
