Moving Pictures.
We are moved by audiovisual media in all its facets - from cinema, TV, series and entertainment formats to virtual worlds. For us, creative innovation, artistic ambition, and audience success go hand in hand.
Moving People.
Our goal is to move people. We accompany our students and professional training participants in their personal and professional development. And our graduates move the audience with exciting and touching audiovisual content that opens up new perspectives and broadens horizons.
Moving Careers.
In cooperation with the TH Köln, we offer high-quality, future-oriented study programmes with internationally recognised bachelor's and master's degrees. We want our graduates to quickly gain a foothold in the audiovisual media industry and establish themselves there in the long term. Our high-quality degree programmes and professional training courses prepare students purposefully for the realities of work - with practice-relevant content, individual support, and a large industry network.
Moving Society.
Audiovisual media shape our society. For us, a central aspect in the education and professional training of creative professionals is that they become aware of their responsibility and use it for the benefit of society.
Moving Beyond.
Our own horizons are not enough for us! We are convinced that exchange and cooperation with international students and teachers as well as international teaching content are elementary in order to be able to move confidently in the global media industry.
Moving NRW.
We think internationally, but we are at home in NRW! Initiated and funded by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Film und Medienstiftung NRW, we are well networked with the local industry and see ourselves as a talent factory and future lab for the media location NRW.
Moving On.
As a relatively small institution, we are particularly agile and future-oriented. We are always evolving - always on the pulse of the times and the industry, and sometimes even ahead of the curve. Our goal is to offer education and professional training that not only meets today's requirements, but also those of the future, in order to provide the best possible career and advancement opportunities.
Example of this are the Master's Programmes Serial Storytelling and Digital Narratives - both were unique in Europe at the time of their creation and have set new standards. The same applies to the European Showrunner Programme.
