Film is teamwork.
Directors are receptive to the impulses of the other disciplines and work with them in close cooperation. They develop a clear artistic vision for the finished film and assume responsibility within the team.
In the specialisation in “Directing” of the Bachelor's Programme Film, students learn film theory and craft fundamentals, hone their skills in practical exercises and project work with students from the other concentrations, and establish important contacts in the industry for later career entry. The BA Film is not only concerned with fictional storytelling, but also covers the entire spectrum of cinematic expression with documentary film.
Graduates of the ifs are just as aware of aesthetic forms of expression as they are of the importance of film as a socially relevant medium.
Since the Bachelor's Programme Film is a German-language programme, please find all further information on the German-language page.
