INTO THE WILD is a mentoring programme for female filmmakers of all trades who want to realise a film idea – whether it's a feature-length movie, documentary, animation, or series concept. We are looking for material that represents a new, powerful, and female point of view, with a focus on stories that can appeal to a broad audience. Participants will have industry-experienced and successful female mentors on hand to offer advice and support for a year.
The programme aims to actively promote equal opportunities for female filmmakers in the film and television industry.
 
INTO THE WILD is funded by the participating film schools – the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF, the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln, the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln (KHM), the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München (HFF), Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin (dffb), and the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg – and is funded by the Kuratorium junger deutscher Film, the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, the Filmförderungsanstalt, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, MO/N Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein, the FFF-Bayern, Bavaria Film GmbH, studio zentral, SHPG Studio Hamburg Production Group, MADEFOR, Warner Bros. Discovery, Tobis, Redpunny Pictures, Odeon Fiction Leonine Company, Constantin Film AG, Urua Films, Ufa Fiction GmbH, and X-Filme Creative Pool GmbH. The mentoring programme is implemented and organised by Soilfilms Media GmbH.
