MARILIA STELLA S. DE FONTES was born in Recife, Brazil, and completed several film courses at the Federal University of Pernambuco. In 2022, she moved to Germany and had projects at the CANNES INDIE SHORT Awards, the GRU SHORTS BR Festival in Brasília, and in the official selection of the Lift—OFT Global Network. She has written, directed, and edited short films. Her latest work TO NOT FORGET is an autobiographical documentary that recounts her personal journey of growing up far from home. She has also worked on films such as UNDER THE DOOR, THOU SHALL NOT FALL - AN ORDINARY MAN ODYSSEY, and NOVA AURORA as a script supervisor, camera assistant, and launch producer. As a film editor, she discovered her creative voice, especially in experimental horror films. Her passion for cinema has been with her since the moment she saw her first film. Studying at ifs since 2025.
