Today, the MA Serial Storytelling welcomed a select group of industry professionals for an internal pitch of this year’s big Writers Room Project. In an intensive six-week simulation of a hierarchically structured US writers' room – led by experienced head writers from the US and Switzerland – the students were not only trained in professional writers’ room techniques: They also wrote the bibles and five completed episode screenplays for three drama series. These shows were now presented to commissioner Frank Tönsmann and producers Frank Jastfelder, Teresa Haberbusch, Corinna Poetter, Christopher Sassenrath and Regina Jorissen.
