On a hot summer day, young Annabell sits in the smoky apartment of her old music teacher, doggedly practicing on the saxophone. Unable to get his student to play the way he used to, the teacher leaves the dark apartment to fetch cigarettes. Left alone, Annabell almost wants to give up, but fate has an unexpected encounter in store for her.
