Internationally renowned DoP for feature films and documentaries. Among other honors, he has received the German Television Award (»Babylon Berlin«, 2018) and the German Cinematography Award (»Der Elefant«, 2006) for his work. He was nominated for the Grimme Preis for his directorial work »Grüße aus Dachau« (2003). Since 2020, he has been a professor of audiovisual media design at BHT Berlin.
Bernd Fischer is a member of the German and European Film Academies.
