Just as every work of art is an interplay of different components, it is the preliminary work that brings the narrative into the cinema. I'm like Alfred Hitchcock: the film has to be conceived before the first scene is shot. My work as a spatial designer can be compared to the process of painting a painting: like the canvas, the choice of space influences the composition, and here as there it is the decisions for the right creative means that influence the finished picture. I use my creative skills to adjust to each story in a new way and enrich the film with it.
