Vita
Özcan Vardar was born in Istanbul and studied mathematics and film at Bogazici University there. He has been editing feature films and documentaries since 2007. In 2011, he was selected for the Berlinale Talent Campus and the Locarno Summer Academy. The films he has edited have been shown at renowned international film festivals. He has taught film grammar and film editing courses at various universities and led numerous workshops. He has been based in Hamburg since 2019. He is a founding member of the Turkish editors' association KUDA and a board member of the Mithat Alam Education Foundation, which awards scholarships to film students.
