»In my professional life as a producer, it has always been important to me to give talented people a chance. Many "trainees" and career changers are now seasoned directors and producers.
In the Masterclass Non-Fiction at the ifs, which I have been leading since 2009, I have always supported the participants in working through complex and difficult topics in such a way that they ultimately find an audience and take new and unexpected paths – this has enabled many of the material to be realised for television and cinema. I look forward to passing on my experience to Masterclass students in the future and encouraging them to work innovatively, think outside the box and dare to look beyond their national horizons.«
