RANA DAGLAYAN was born in Zurich and grew up in Cologne. Thanks to her family's culturally active environment, she was introduced to art and film projects at an early age. At the age of twelve, she made her first short film together with a friend who was her grandmother's camerawoman. In addition to film, music has also been a part of her life since childhood: encounters with international artists and the discovery of cross-genre music continue to shape her artistic attitude and open up new creative perspectives for her. After graduating from technical college in 2022, she gained experience in the catering and social sectors. Since 2024, she has been bar manager at Club Subway in Cologne, where she completed awareness training, trained colleagues, and helped to design organisational processes. At the same time, she was involved in her first student film projects as a set runner and wardrobe assistant. Studying at the ifs since 2025.
