Midsummer is a character study, a kind of chamber play of three people, acted out in the open air.

Two young men on a yacht wordlessly contemplate the idyllic seascape. Suddenly an attractive woman joins them, stops briefly between them and jumps into the water without saying a word. The three friends, Martin, Emma and Victor play happily and innocently in the water. More and more, however, it is noticeable that this is about a power struggle: two men, one woman. In small gestures the disaster announces itself. The sailing trip finally turns into a catastrophe. Oppressive sun, cold blue, steady waves and wind, ropes of the yacht, a cigarette, wine, the beating of the sails, a mysterious smile, sad face, full moon, a tear, very close.
