The inhabitants of a small town are supposed to be removed, for the mining of brown coal. They have hunkered down in the local pub, against the representative of the company. But when all hope seems lost, a mysterious Cowboy enters.

“Underrath stays!” is the rallying cry of the townsfolk, who remain fortified in Camilla’s pub. Andreas, the cynical representative of the coal mining company, is on his last try to distribute the contracts, to make the inhabitants leave peacefully. But before a pen can touch the paper, the doors swing open and a Cowboy enters the room. As the two try to draw the town to their side, Andreas puts out an ultimatum: Signatures on the paper, or a call to the police. The nameless Cowboy draws his weapon. What follows is a showdown, that decides who wins: The system or the rebellion.
