ALINE HOCHSCHEID studied film directing at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln after many years as a film, television and theater actress. She graduated in 2016. In the same year, her graduation film »Lost in Hope« was nominated as best short film at the Studio Hamburg Young Talent Award and won the Jury Award at the 47th Student Film Festival of the Montreal World Film Festival. Since 2017, she has been a lecturer in directing at the SAE Institute in Bochum. She is also currently working on various series projects as well as on the realisation of her debut film.

I like unconventional series whose characters are complex, exciting and original. »Six Feet Under« blew me away back then. »Russian Doll«, »Tales from the Loop«, »Transparent«, »The Hand maid's Tale« are stories that inspire me. That's why I write.
