Born in St. Petersburg's prefabricated housing, raised under gray slates of small German towns, the same contrasts between worlds crystallize in my work. Strong female figures who seek their place in a world shaped by patriarchal power structures - the absurd and the comic in order to better understand the real and the tragic. I embark on a search for a truth within exaggeration that is meant to create new perspectives and break down existing habits of seeing. I think the rabbit died on the same day. After all, my mother named me after Alice in Wonderland.
