Emily Ahmad is an Iranian screenwriter and director. As young as six, she started writing stories which became her most beloved hobby. During her school years she wrote amateur stories in different formats such as plays, short stories, and a novel, and later decided to continue writing professionally. She studied screenwriting at Tehran University of Art, where she wrote several shorts and features and made her directing debut with the short film „Stay“. She later participated in an intensive 8-month TV writing course, where she wrote the pilot and bible of the show »CLONE: Unknown«. Emily worked as a first and second AD, continuity supervisor, and sound designer on various short films and served as a jury reader for Women in Film & Television Festival in Vancouver, Canada.
