LENA TONDELLO, born in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in 1996, she studied for a bachelor's degree in »Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance in York, England«. She then worked for three years as an assistant director at the Schauspielbühnen theater in Stuttgart. Since 2022, she has been working freelance as a set assistant, assistant director, and actress in film and theater. She also directs independent short film projects and studied in the MA Film programme at the ifs from 2023 to 2025. Graduation in 2025.
During this time, she also made her first essayistic documentary film, »Schulweg« (Way to School), which deals with the personal consequences of the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley. She is currently working on her second short documentary film, as well as the screenplay for her debut feature film project, »Mama (AT)«.
