LENA TONDELLO, born in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler in 1996, she studied for a bachelor's degree in "Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance" in York, England. She then worked for three years as an assistant director at the "Schauspielbühnen" theater in Stuttgart. Since 2022, she has been working freelance as a set assistant, assistant director, and actress in film and theater. She also directs independent short film projects. During her studies at the ifs, she made her first essayistic documentary film, "Schulweg" (Way to School), which deals with the personal consequences of the flood disaster in the Ahr Valley. She is currently working on her second short documentary film, as well as the screenplay for her debut feature film project, "Mama (AT)".
Lena Tondello completed her master's degree in "Film" at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln in autumn 2025.
