Nicola Schudy studied Visual Communication at the Peter Behrens School of Art Düsseldorf and Fine Arts at the ISBA Institut Supérieur des Beaux-Arts de Besançon/ France.
Since 1993 she has worked in various capacities in the art department on feature films by Peter Greenaway, Steven Berkhoff, Christoph Schlingensief, Dani Levy, Andy Hurst, Ian Dilthey and Christoph Hochhäusler, among others, and as a set designer on commercials.
Since 2005, she has mainly realised artistic spatial concepts and installations in exhibitions and has been awarded various grants and scholarships from the City of Cologne, the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the State of Rhineland-Palatinate and the Bundesstiftung Kunstfonds. In 2022 she received the Leo Breuer Prize of the Landschaftsverband Rheinland for her artistic work.
