CASTING DIRECTOR Sophie Molitoris was initially head of the casting department at Markenfilm in Hamburg, where she laid the foundations for her work as a casting director and founded her own agency, MOLITORIS CASTING, in 1988. With feature films such as " Kurz und Schmerzlos " and " Solino " by Fatih Akin, " "Hamburg Cell" by Antonia Bird and TV films directed by Hermine Huntgeburth, Kai Wessel, Kilian Riedhof, Dror Zahavi and many other renowned directors, she has made a name for herself in the film industry. In 2011 she received the GERMAN CASTING AWARD for the TV film "Neue Vahr Süd". In 2019, she began providing artistic advice to young directors, among others, whom she enthusiastically supports in their casting questions and in matters of acting direction. She also teaches at other universities in Leipzig, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Usedom, among others.
