ULDUZ MADATKHANOVA, originally from Azerbaijan, studied "Directing" at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts in Turkey, graduating in 2018. She has since directed several short films and worked as an executive producer, art director, and assistant director. In 2020, she completed her first documentary short "Roots", about the disappearing Lezgi ethnic minority, to which she belongs. She is currently developing a documentary exploring the spring rituals of her hometown, Gusar, Azerbaijan.
Ulduz Madatkhanova completed her master's degree in "Film" at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln in autumn 2025.
