Head of VFX at Outside the Club

Vita

In 2016, Yannik Heß made a career change as a VFX supervisor/artist with the effects for the web series Wishlist (Funk). The production led to the founding of Outside the Club GmbH, where he has been head of the VFX department ever since. Since then he has worked on a variety of projects in all genres. The main focus, however, is on fiction. There he accompanies series and feature films for clients such as Netflix, Amazon, Sky etc. as a VFX supervisor, but also works actively on the projects as a Houdini and Nuke artist. Apart from the fiction and streaming scene, he has also accompanied various advertising projects for clients such as Porsche or VW, music videos by artists such as Pietro Lombardi, Robin Schulz or projects by YouTubers such as Julien Bam, Julia Beautx and Knossi. As a VFX artist, he is mainly active in the areas of FX, Lookdev and Procedural Modeling and works with tools such as Houdini (8+ years) and Nuke (5+ years), which he taught himself autodidactically.
