Manjahi Njoroge and Louise Adams presented the first results of their exchange and artistic research within the framework of the kulturweit-Tandem initiative.

Yesterday, the multimedia exhibition "Coffee and Colonialism - A Bitter Taste" took place at the ifs. Manjahi Njoroge and Louise Adams presented the first results of their exchange and artistic research as part of the kulturweit-Tandem initiative: Their project deals with the consequences of colonialism, but also wants to convey a deeper understanding of the work in coffee production and appeals to our social responsibility. In the ifs cinema, accompanied by his photographs, Manjahi Njoroge reported on his personal family history, coffee cultivation in his home country Kenya and post-colonial structures. At the end, excerpts from an interview with Manjahi's father were shown.

The initiative kulturweit-Tandem of the German UNESCO Commission e.V. promotes joint projects people from African countries and Germany that deal with the history of colonialism and with our postcolonial present
