ifs @ European Series Day! Today, the European Series Day is taking place until 3 p.m. at the Filmpalast Köln as part of the Film Festival Cologne, dedicated to trends and current developments in the European series market. ifs managing director Nadja Radojevic welcomed the audience before the diverse programme around challenges and opportunities of international co-productions as well as the far-reaching changes of distribution and marketing channels in the digital age started - with in keynotes, panels and case studies of German and European high-end series.

After a presentation of the European series market and a keynote on international series co-productions, the fifth European Showrunner Think Tank took place. Under the title "Adapting the Showrunner Model to a Project's Needs", author and showrunner Marianne Wendt ("Neumatt", "Wer wir sind", Berlin), producer Benedikt Böllhoff ("Wer wir sind", Viafilm Munich) and Bettina Alber (Head of Series, SRF Swiss Radio and Television, Zurich) spoke about, among other things, the effects that the format and scope of a series project have on the way the showrunner model works.

The event is a cooperation of Creative Europe Desks Deutschland NRW, ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and Film Festival Cologne.
