The second in-person workshop of the European Showrunner Training’s fifth edition took place in Cologne last week. The workshop with a focus on structuring production processes was led by producer and showrunner Andi Wecker (»Die Düsteren / Shifters«, »Start the Fck Up«, »The Team«). The aim was to provide insights and tools on how to develop strategies for planning and structuring a TV series from green light to release, ensuring that creation drives production and not the other way around. Highlights included a case study by ESP alumn and showrunner Lisa Ambjörn (»Young Royals«, »Sjukt / Sick«) and an overview on virtual production by realtime artist and virtual production specialist Jill Ziegler (»Dead of Winter«, »Kleo«, »Wild Republic«).
