Well done! Another round of the Summer School Screenwriting at the ifs is coming to an end. Over the past three weeks, an international group of participants, led by lecturers Alkioni Valsari and Keith Cunningham, familiarised themselves with important aspects of the screenwriting craft. The spectrum ranged from defining premise, theme and topic to characters and character orchestration, from plot to scene structure, and from setting to subtext. After the participants had learnt how to format scripts and express themselves in this medium, they worked individually and in groups on their own short film scripts, supported by the table-readings of the third week.
