A look back at a wonderful mid-programme workshop at the European Showrunner Training: The 13 experienced (head) writers spent three intense days in Cologne the with lectures, case studies, and exercises on the topic of »Structuring Production Processes«.
The course was led by Cologne-based producer, writer, and showrunner Andi Wecker (»The Team«, »Start the F*ck Up«) and complemented by insights from showrunners Marie Roussin (»Made in France«, »Mixte«, »Lupin«) and Wiktor Piątkowski (»Wataha / The Pack«, »Wojenne dziewczyny / War Girls«). A special treat was the concluding sneak preview of the upcoming topic »Working with Directors« with renowned Hollywood TV director Uta Briesewitz (»Stranger Things«, »Westworld«, »This is Us«) who gave detailed insights into the benefits of the showrunner model from a director's perspective.
