The complete set

Am I a good friend? Sometimes you have the best of intentions and yet do more harm than good.

In »The Complete Set«, aging bestselling author Olga Steck must finally submit the final book in her novel series. Her persistent writer's block, however, does everything in its power to prevent that from happening.

Olga's longtime friend Edith is newly widowed at 66 and wants to "be a good friend." She seems to know exactly what that means: she wants to help end Olga's writer's block. Now Edith's is like this: her retirement provision consists of a historic silver cutlery set that is worth a lot of money. Rudolf, the deceased husband, had taken advantage of it and sold off three coffee spoons to the wider community. For resale, however, Edith urgently needs one thing: the complete set. She takes Olga on a whimsical spoon hunt, which casually includes a meeting with Olga's estranged daughter Leyla. The latter's disappearance 20 years ago had brought on writer's block.

Whether this is really such a good idea, and what couple massages and Fritz the dachshund have to do with it - you'll find out when you read my final script.
