Reiner is a gambler. He spends his time in front of the slot machine in Mario's inn, in Mario's family. His own family has been broken up for years. His son Philipp is also a gambler, but in a different world. As a successful stockbroker, he rushes from big city to big city.
One day, Philipp makes a brief stopover and returns to his home village. "Just an hour" Reiner has asked him to the inn. Like two strangers, they collide. Philipp's hurt runs deep; too soon he had to grow up more than his father. As they painstakingly reach a moment of trust, it is soon destroyed by Mario without a second thought.
