Photorealistic butterfly

As her bachelor thesis, Jannika Eberhardt created a photorealistic butterfly in macro shots. She was responsible for all steps, from modeling and sculpting to texturing, shading and lighting/rendering. However, she did not animate the butterfly herself, but concentrated on creating the model for her final project.

Jannika Eberhardt developed the photorealistic butterfly for the feature film "Von Zeit zu Zeit" (directed by ifs graduate Johannes F. Sievert).
In the science fiction thriller, the flap of a butterfly's wings leads to the discovery of time travel.
