Turkey in the early 60s. The young mother Serap lives in the shadow of her husband Arcun's decisions and dreams of a self-determined life. However, questions about her own identity, the involuntary future home of Germany, a hidden Armenian migration background and the obligations of family and friendship confront her with impossible decisions.
