Wedding reception

"Don't you worry about a thing, Nobbi. I'll take good care of your little gold piece." The aged boxer Norbert has a completely different opinion! He is sick to his stomach at the thought that his daughter - his jewel! - is going to marry the self-absorbed and nouveau riche bon vivant Lukas.

Angry, Norbert starts his night shift as a cab driver. And then Ingrid gets in with him, who feels the same way as Norbert, but is anything but like him. She, too, has to let her son go into a new life and would like to go with him into this life. She is not angry, however. She is loud, talkative, drinks and celebrates whatever comes. She drags Norbert into a long night that will bring him a new perspective on his life. After the first ice is broken, they start drinking, talking about their past, not suspecting what connects them both. On the roof of the boxing hall, a magical moment arises. It becomes quiet and the desire for tenderness arises. It is this moment in which something surprising spills over to the viewer.

WEDDING RECEPTION is a bitter comedy that uses the comedy of lonely, somewhat elderly people. But we try to take these people seriously, because they have to be adults, and yet they feel lost like abandoned children.
